The kids and I have been doing poetry throughout our home schooling. I’m trying to get them to learn a little bit about poems, you know things like rhyming, alliteration, acrostic poems etc.. I’m also trying to introduce some famous poems and poets to them. So we’ve done William Wordsworth’s The Daffodils ( my favourite), William Blake’s Tyger, Tyger and some classic kids poems like the Owl and The Pussy Cat or Someone’s Knocking At My Door. I’m glad that they’ve shown interest and enjoyed their poetry sessions.
They have also been trying their hands at writing their own poems. Mostly rhyming and funny ones that sometimes can be a bit rude. So I’ve decided to post them so you can read and see how crazy some of these poems are.
