The kids had always wanted a pet. We’ve kept fishes before until they all died. We used to have a gerbil while we were in UK but we’ve got to leave him behind. Poor James! But the last we heard he’s happy with his new family.
Now, my kids would die for a cat or a dog. It’s their dream pet. However, I’m not a pet person. I mean don’t get me wrong. I love animals. I just cannot bear to have animals in the house; especially in this teeny, weeny place. There’s hardly any space for the four of us. We did manage badminton on rainy days. Nothing got smashed or broken. Just sweat!
Back to the pets; now I think they need space to move around. Lots of them. We have neighbours who has pets and God, they can be a nuisance. They bark day and night. And I just think they need to go out and not cooped up in tiny little apartments. We have a neighbour with two dogs and they are left on their own the whole day while their owners are at work. They are hardly taken out for walks and I think that can be frustrating.
I told my daughter if we are living in Scotland, then she can have all the dogs she wants. (This is actually one of my many ploy to get moved). Imagine all that wonderful space for me, no I mean the dogs to run around. So until we move to Scotland, they just have to be content at oogling other peoples dogs.
And while we were at the Park the other day, the kids saw these two beautiful, coolies, I think. They went straight for them as if they were theirs. Coincidentally, there was a man who was taking photographs and saw them playing with the dogs. So he decided to take a shot. And the shot turned out gorgeous.
